The excreta is instantly deodorised, and no smell is perceptible, even though it is allowed to Btand for twelve months. (See testimonials and handbills). The Ash Closet differs from the Earth Closet, Inasmuch as it makes use of ordinary house ashes instead of dry earth. By the pressure upon the seat, the ash dust is separated from the cinders and scattered over the soil on each use of the Closet, and so any bad smells are prevented. The cinders are saved for re-burning. A valuable ready-made manure is produced. $o. other Closet does the above without infringing this patent. Dry earth may be used with the Cinder-sift-ing Ash Closet, but ashes, unless previously sifted, cannot be used with the Earth Closet. It answersequally as well for wood ashes or drv earth. No well-regulated household should be without'them. Only emptied every twelve months. Saves the first expense m two years. Tho manure manufactured by the Cinder-sifter, is valued at 25s per ton at Home. Ihe 1 atent can be adapted to old closets. THE SYSTEM I- inexpensive. Costs little (if any) more than the old fashioned privy. Requires no extra attention. Is simple in construction. Cannot net out of order. Is equally suited to the mansion and the cottage. Is much appreciated by the cottager. Over 50,000 in use. Invercargill, Novemb_r 25 1881, Messrs Green and Co. Oentleraen.-The Cinder-s.ft-ing Ash Closet you sold me does its work well.
