LONDON (undated). ’ The Right Hon. H. C. E. Childers will act as Chairman of the Victorian Board of Advice instead of as Agent-General for the Colony. It is probable a short Imperial Act will bo passed to enable members of Parliament to become Agents-General. [Press Association.] INTERCOLONIAL. MELBOURNE, April 30. The Government have bought Mr Monk’s premises at Wombat for conversion into a police station. The Bank of South Australia has declared a dividend of 10 per cent. Parliament will be prorogued on the 16th for a quarter’s recess. [Reuter’s Telegrams.] MELBOURNE, April 30. At the interview which Mr Berry had with the Prince of Wales, His Royal Highness said that although he would not beTable to be present at the opening of the Melbourne Exhibition he hoped to attend it later. David Henry, now undergoing sentence for embracery, will probably be released from gaol in consequence of the dangerous state of his health. Mat 1. One of the Albion’s seamen, named George Lennie, was drowned during the gale of the 29th ult. The Government refused to release David Henry. ;
