At the trial held under the auspices of the Royal Agricultural Society of England, at - August 6.—-Decision of the Judges; M'Cormick’s Sheaf-binder fulfilled the conditions of the Society, and was awarded THE GOLD MEpAL. At the Riecarton trial, January 24, 1878, of the farmers preferred the M Oormiok Reaper and Binder, and were prepared to give their unsolicited verdict in Its favor. At the Kaiapoi Trial, February 7, 1878, the First Prize, given by the Farmers’ Club, was awarded to the M'Cormick Machine. At the Oamaru Trial, February 27, 1878, THE GOLD MEDAL, Given by the Northern Agricultural and Pastoral Association, Oamaru, Otago, was awarded to the M'Cormick Machine. At the Ashburton County Trial, at Methven, on March 6, 1878. the First Prize was awarded to the driver of the only M'Cormick Machine present in competition with twelve 0 f another make.
