Ranges: 200, 400, and 500 yards j 7 shots at each range. Position: Any. No. 1 City Guards, North Dunedin, South District, Nob. 1 and 2 Companies Wakari, Bruce, East Taieri, West Taieri, Clutha, Waikouaiti, and Portobello Rifles, on Saturday, the 22nd instant. Ranges: 400, 500. and 600 yards;- 7 shots at each range. Position: Any, Firing to commence each day at 5 a.m. Ammunition will be supplied on the ground. No Volunteer will be allowed to compete unless he is in the full uniform of his corps. Officers commanding corps will send into this office the names < f intending Carbine Competitors not later than Saturday, the Bth inst., and for long Rifles, not later than Saturday, the 15th inst., for the purpose of balloting for the order of firing, which will be posted at the Militia Office on the Monday following.
