(Specially Telegraphed to the Star.) CANTERBURY V. "BOHEMIANS. Melbourne, January 16. The weather to-day was delightful. Campbell and Darke, the not outs of the previous day, did not survive long, the bowling of C. Frith and Ashby proving highly effective. With the exception of Riddell, who contributed 32 by faultless play, none of the batsmen gave trouble after Darke and Campbell had been got rid of. In Canterbury's second innings Hartland and Baker made a bit of a stand, the colt playing with great steadiness, while W: ; Frith, as is usual with him, knocked his runs up quickly.
