Wednesday is to be retained as the sitting day of the Land Board. The Linden School Committee have nominated Messrs M. Fraer and K. Ramsay for the vacant seats on the Education Board. The Government yesterday telegraphed to the Harbor Board that their intention had all along been to Crown-grant to the Board the land to be reclaimed at Ravensbourne, Burke’s, and twe bays between those points, and that effect would be given to it as soon as the reclamation was completed. The,'subject of it was “Scott.” The last lecture to be delivered by Mr Inglis during his stay here will be given on Saturday evening, the works of Robert Burns being appropriately chosen for treatment.

The prizes won at the late meeting of the Otago .Rifle Association will be presented at narade to-night by Lieut. Colonel Stavely. The time of filing tho retard match between the City Guards and North Dunedin Rifles will probably be settled at the same time.
