The ship Wanganui was berthed alongside the railway pier on Saturday afternoon in readiness to discharge. The barque Birchgrovo was hauled into the graving dock on Saturday evening to repair damages sustained to her keel while ashore at the Bluff. The s.s. Waitakl arrived from Oamaru early yesterday mornsng with 162 bales of wiol for the Mataura, 151 for the Euterpe, and twenty-six for the InreroargUL The Ladybird, from Wellington, viaLyttelton and Timaru, arrived at 5.45 am. yesterday. She loft Wei* liugtoti at 8 p.m. on the 2nd inst., and reached Lyttelton at 10.80 a.m. on the Srd, leaving at 6 p.m. and calling at Timaru, where she took on board 104 boles of wool. The Wanaka arrived alongside the railway p.er at fl.Bo this morning. She left Auckland at 4.16 p. in. on December 80, called at Tauranga, Poverty Bay, and Napier, reaching Wellington at 11.15 a.m. on the 3rd ; left at 6.40 a.m. on the 4th, Lyttelton at 10.5 am. on the 6th, Akaroa at 4.20 p.m. yesterday, and had light B.E. winds to arrival.
