Mr M iCinnon's projeot to get together a team to play against the Australian Eleven on their return has been abandoned. A match played at Monteoillo on Saturday between the Waverley and Montrose Cricket Clubs resulted in a viotory for the former team by 45 rues. The scores were—Waverley, 83 and 59; Montrose, 26 and 26. T Home was top scorer for the Waverley with 18, and Cook with 24>for the Montrose.

Christchcbch, November 11.—The match at Hagley Park on Saturday was between the first twelve, and twenty eolta. The latter went in first and ran up only 55, of which R. T. Macdonnell made 7, A. Loughnan 9, and W. Morrison 9. The twelve then went to the wickets and totalled 94, Corfe contributing 28 by free hitting, Ashby 27 rather flukUy, and K. Fuller 11. Longden, for the colts, bowled eleven overs, seyen of them being maidens, for four wiokets and 7 runs.

WAIXAOB V. DUNHDIK. The return match, Wallacetown v. Dunedin, was played on the Oval to-day. The latter put forward a strong team, against whom the visitors were able to make little or no headway.
