♦ Shortly after the men had been dismissed at three o'clock, a young girl named Mary Anne Powell picked up a loaded carbine, the property of ones of the Cadets, and shot a schoolmate of hers named Edith Evans with it on the cheek. Dr Borrows attended the girl a&d pronounced the wound not to be a dangerous one. 1 • •
