The Princess Theatre was well filled last evening, and the comedy of “The Man with many Friends” afforded the company an opportunity of appearing to great advantage. Miss Julia Mathews as Mrs Popples played with excellent judgment, and was well supported by Mr Roberts as Veneer. Miss Shepparde had not a great deal to do as Mrs Beamish, but whenever she appeared, contrived to infuse a deal of liveliness into the piece. Miss Leake and Miss Gassy Mathews were excellent, and the whole of the male characters were well filled.
