Your Directors, on announcing their acceptance of my resignation, have accompanied it with a resolution, which I subjoin, as the best testimony I can offer that I have not allowed my personal interest as a shareholder, or my duty to my constituents, to interfere with the conscientious performance of those functions which have devolved upon me as your Secretary.
