In an inter-State cricket match, Victoria, in the first innings, made 402 (Johnson 88). New South Wales had lost five wickets for 197 (Barnes 112 not out. Greaves 29 not out) at stumps.
In Adelaide in inter-State cricket, South Australia, in the first innings made 365 (Bradman 68, Craig 84, Webb 63). McCool took seven wickets for 106, Queensland, in the first innings, had lost one wicket for 199 (Brown 98) at stumps.
