The Awapuni trainer H. Griffiths is finding it difficult to win a race with Dutch Mary, despite her undoubted speed. The. three-year-old daughter of Lady Oratress looked like the winner half-way from home in the Kuku Maiden, No. 1, at Otaki, but she was weakening over the final furlong and was ndsed out of the major placing right on the post. Still Winning-. Described as a "knock-kneed veteran." Bull Reigh, veteran of more than 100 races, spent the spring of 1945 in service at the stud in America, getting about 14 mares in foal.
