HOSPITAL CEREMONY
CAROLS AND CHRISTMAS TREES
The dignified and impressive ceremony of carol-singing, which has become traditional at Wellington Hospital, was held again this year. Two hundred nurses, in their white uniforms with scarlet capes and carrying lighted tapers, formed the procession, which passed through the wards singing favourite carols. As usual, beautiful decorations were a feature of Christmas at the hospital, and gifts from brightly decorated trees were distributed among the patients. Special delicacies were provided yesterday for patients, and those who were able enjoyed a Christmas menu which included chicken, green peas, and plum pu 'ding.
