SIGNING AGREEMENT
CEREMONY IN WASHINGTON
LONDON, December 19
The United States Government has invited members of the United Nations to send representatives to Washington to sign the final Bretton Woods agreement on December 27.
The Acting Secretary of State, Mr. Dean Acheson, announced that among the nations willing to sign are South Africa, China, Czechoslovakia, Egypt, and Ethiopia, and said he also hoped that Russia would be able to sign at the same time.
He said that when the American representatives signed he believed the prescribed 65 per cent, of the United Nations .would have been vouched for, thus putting the Bretton Woods plan automatically into operation,
RATIFIED BY NORWAY
OSLO, December 19 :
The Norwegian Parliament ratified the Bretton Woods monetary agreement. Nine members voted for the postponement of ratification until January. ____________,__„___.
