PLANT CARE
If you are going away and have some precious plants that will suffer through not \ being watered, try this little tip for mechanical watering. Stand the flower pots on a tray and have a pail full of water close by.
Take some pieces of ordinary wool, put one end of each in the pail, and attach the other ends to the earth in the pot. The water will thus be sucked out of the pail by capillary action and keep the plant just sufficiently watered. The tray of plants should be lower than the top of the pail..
