BUTTERFLY MOTIF IN THE KITCHEN
If you have hinges on cupboard doors that have become tarnished, rusty, or shabby in appearance, you • may be inclined to paint them over, when you paint the woodwork. However, sometimes the hinges, thus painted, have a "done over" look when a heavy coat of paint is used. To remedy this you might feature the hinges as a decorative note. On some kitchen cupboards they have a fancy outline, very much like a butterfly's wings. If this is the case paint them butterfly yellow to give gaiety and charm. The screws may be painted in dark colours suggesting the spots on a butterfly's wings. < Anyone could vary this plan according to the colour scheme of a room and its cupboards. Pale yellow can be used with, green, blue with gold or black, yellow with brown, flame with black, or orange, with yellow. All would make pretty camouflage for worn hinges.
