Eec. 1 p.m. STOCKHOLM, Nov. 30. German military internees at several camps in Sweden attempted mass suicides today when Swedish police and soldiers started their extradition to Russian-occupied Europe. The Germans in one barracks formed a tightpacked ring when the Swedes advanced to remove them. Police were ordered t6 break up the ring and charged, clubbing' several Germans.

Some prisoners plunged knives into their breasts. Others shouted: "Stab me here!"

At one time more than 70 Germans lay about with self-inflicted wounds. Scores of Germans at camp Exsjoe attempted suicide with knives and razorblades. The newspaper "Expressen" reports that 100 officers at Backamo camp barricaded themselves in an attempt at suicide. The authorities were forced to club many unconscious. Many of the Austrians, Germans, Poles and Baits were too weak to be moved because of their hunger-strike against deportation. Nearly half the hunger-strikers are in hospital.
