Under the new I arrangement applications for tho t\k per cent. fixed cumulative preference shares of £1 each may bo accepted from residents of New Zealand whether or not they are at the time applying shareholders of the Hunio companies; tho necessary payments arc to be mado in New Zealand currency to the New Zealand office; and Hume Steel, Ltd., undertakes not to allot more than 20,000 shares to Now Zealand applicants who lodgo their applications and make their payments in New Zealand. The Reserve Bank states that there is no implied undertaking to give approval for tho remittance of any funds, arising in New Zealand from this issue, to Australia.
