Alter the ball to be given tonight by the Wellington Metropolitan Patriotic Committee for the men of the visiting ships. Army transport will be provided as follows":—Karori Park via Northland. Karori. Park via Kelburn, Brooklyn to Kelburn and Karori, Kilbirnie via Oriental Bay, Roseneath and Hataitai, Miramar via Constable Street, Seatoun via Constable Street, Island Bay via Berhampore, Wadestown.
NEW FILM ORGANISATION
LONDON, November 27,
Plans for the formation of a new world-wide organisation to distribute outstanding British and American films are announced in London. The British film magnate, Mr. J. Arthur Rank,
is to be chairman of the organisation, in which British and American interests will be equally represented. The new group proposes to acquire theatres in the United States and the British Empire, and in big cities in other parts of the world. It will start by distributing at least eight British and eight American pictures. A new company to produce films is also being set up.
