SMALL PETROL ALLOWANCE
Applications by private motorists in the distant suburbs of Wellington, such as Island Bay, Seatoun, Miramar, and Karori for extra petrol to get them to and from work today will be considered on their merits, but there will be no general issue of a special ration of petrol, and as the strike is expected to last only one day any special allowance will be very,-small.
