HOCKEY WIN
KIWIS BEAT INDIANS
• FLORENCE, October 29. Two New Zealand hockey elevens acquitted themselves well here today, defeating two teams of the 10th Indian Division. Scores in both games were 2 goals to 1. The Indian teams were largely composed of Sikhs, one representing a brigade and another a battalion of the Indian division.
Play reached a high standard, particularly in the game against the Indian brigade, which produced an exciting finale. Down 1 goal to nil, the New Zealanders rallied, and in the last five minutes scored two goals to clinch the victory.
