DEADLOCK ARISES
CHUNGKING, October 27.
Discussions between the Government and the • Communists have deteriorated to" ah 'extent which both parties have admitted has amounted to "a deadlock. Virtually no advance has been made since early, October, when Mao Tse Tung left for Yenan. A Communist spokesman said that the nationalisation of the Chinese army and the reduction of the Communist forces to 20 divisions are contingent on an agreement for administration of the liberated areas. t • . ; ':.
