IN ARGENTINA
NAZISM STILL FLOURISHES
LONDON, October 28. The Assistant Secretary of State, Mr. Spruille Braden, stated in Washington that the Nazis are not yet wiped out. In Argentina they were still spreading their ideas, egging on their associates, and causing suffering and disorganisation.
"People there had said, 'It can't happen here,' but it is happening there," said Mr. Braden.
"Supported by -a clique which apes the European prototype, they are permitting swaggering officers to beat up citizens whose only offence is that they do not agree with their ideology." Mr. Braden pointed out that these people had to subdue the opposition in their own country before they went on to spread their views to neighbouring nations.
