France is going ahead immediately with the development of atomic energy, says the "Daily Mail's" Paris correspondent. The Sahara, if necessary, will be .used for the experiments. France's'atom director, Raoul D'Autry, said: "I shall establish -the headquarters of the newly-appointed French Atomic Energy Development Commission in or near Paris and get to work. We don't intend to wait and see what other nations are going to do. France will go ahead and harness the atom on her own if need be, or with the British or other nations if possible."
