DEATH OF DOCTOR
PA DUNEDIN, October 1. A verdict of death from uraemia, as the result of a large dose of corrosive sublimate self-administered while in a state of extreme mental depression, was returned by the Coroner, Mr. Bundle, today, at an inquest on lJr. John Charles Davis Sutherland aged 31, assistant pathologist at the Otago Medical School. , , . ._ Evidence showed that he went into the bush on the morning of September 18 and several hours later staggered out saying he was POif?™ P-f was taken to hospital and died nine a Dr. Sutherland was stated to be a .young doctor of exceptionally biimam attainments.
