I The repainting of the funnels of coastal vessels is proceeding steadily. Several Union Company ships have been painted in the past week, and this morning workmen were busy on the Anchor Line steamer Matangi. When she sails for Nelson tonight her funnels will appear in the company's old colours again, black and white.Under the will of the late Martin Eggleton, who died at Wellington on July 8, 1945, the Public Trustee is appointed executor and trustee. The will provides for a legacy of £50 to St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Roseneath.
The lunch hour music programme in the Lecture Hall of the Central Library tomorrow will comprise a Beethoven piano sonata by Hilde Cohn, and the Brahms piano quartet Op. 25, played by Leela Bloy (violin), W. McLean (viola), Claude Tanner Ocello), -and Ormi: Keid (piano).
