PAKISTAN AS SOLUTION
MOSLEM COMMENT ON INDIA PROBLEM
Rec. 10.40 a.m. BOMBAY, Sept. 24. The secretary of the Moslem League, Nawabzada Liaqat Ali Khan, giving the first Moslem comment on the British plan for India, said that Pakistan (a Moslem State) is the only -solution of India's constitutional problem. The Congress Party's proposals, that the British should hand over the power of the Central Government would mean dominance by the vast Hindu majority, he said. _ Ali Khan added that the time might come when a supreme sacrifice might be necessary to obtain freedom for the Moslem nation. He defined Pakistan as being within the provincial boundaries of the Punjab, the Northwest Frontier' province, Baluchistan, Sind, and Bengal, and also Assam. Within these areas free, sovereign, democratic States should be established.
