WING CDR. DEERE COMING HOME ON LEAVE
LONDON, September 6. Wing Commander Alan Deere, of Wanganui, the celebrated fighter pilot, expects to arrive in New Zealand early in October on a month's leave. Wing Commander Deere was recently offered a permanent commission in the R.A.F., but his future plans are understood to be indefinite. He is at present commanding an airfield neai Braintree, in Essex.
