JAPANESE EVACUEES IN U.S.A.

WASHINGTON, September 5. The Army Depai-tment has cancelled orders banning from the west coast 50,000 persons of Japanese ancestry who are at present in eight relocation camps. The order does not affect 5500 American-born Japanese who renounced American citizenship, nor 2200 foreign-born Japanese interned as enemy aliens, who will continue to be interned pending final review of their cases. About 110,000 persons of Japanese descent were evacuated from the west early in the war.
