EXISTENCE IN SPAIN
INDUSTRY CARRYING ON
(By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright.) .LONDON, September 2. Numerous German industries, including: I. G. Farben Industries, continue to operate almost unhampered in Spain under a cloak of Spanish ownership and protected by Spanish laws, says Reuters Barcelona correspondent. The Allied authorities are studying the situation .to ascertain whether it is possible to stamp out Spain's "Little Germany." These German subsidiaries at present cannot be touched. All are technically Spanish concerns, owned and controlled in name at "■ least by Spaniards. All the Allies have been able to do so far.is black-list them and refuse to supply them with raw materials. Britain has black-listed more than 800.firms and individuals in Spain for trading with Germany or being Ger-man-controlled. The German assets in Spain are estimated at about £60,000,000 sterling.
