HORSE-FLOAT RESTRICTIONS
The Government has eased the restriction on horse floats. The 30-mile radius within which floats had to operate has now been removed and float operators may now travel to meetings within the scope of the petrol allowances, excepting that where their route parallels the railway application must be made for a temporary licence for the trip. The restriction is also removed from the conveyance of horses by private vehicle. Owners and trainers possessing their own floats or Jiorse trailers may now use them as 'they wish, but within the scope of their petrol allowances.
