SIAMESE CO-OPERATION

MISSION ON WAY TO

BANGKOK

LONDON, September 3. A military mission from SEAC is expected at Bangkok within the next day or so to discuss with the Siamese Government the disarming of the Japanese and the evacuation of 20,000 prisoners of war. The deputy commander-in-chief of the Siamese army has arrived at SEAC headquarters for preliminary discussions. He said that the Siamese Minister in Washington, now on his way home, would probably be the next Siamese Prime Minister. Siam, he said, would punish all war criminals, including political and military leaders guilty of treason and also war profiteers.
