OUTRAGES IN LISBON
LISBON, September 2. The Government is almost doubling the Police Force, recruiting 3800 more men and enlisting women for the first time, following an alarming increase in the activities of street gangs throughout the city. The latest victim of gang outrages was Joaquim Ferreira, the international footballer, who was murdered in a Lisbon Park.
