WELLINGTON FARES BADLY
Huntly United, S,outh Auckland Rugby League championship winners, beat the Wellington B representatives by 27 points to 10 in a game at Newtown Park on Saturday. In the first spell Whitehead scored three tries for Huntly, two of which were converted by Moyes, and Morris scored a try for Wellington which was converted by Beban. Beban also kicked a penalty goal. Huntly United's score was further increased in the second spell with tries by Moyes (2), Sharp, and Cole and with a penalty by Moyes. For Wellington, Beban scored a try. making the final score Huntly United 27. Wellington 10. Papakura beat Miramar by 12 points to 8. Cook and Parker scored tries for Papakura and Middleton converted a try and kicked two penalties. For Miramar Houlford and Warham scored tries and McAnnan kicked a penalty. Other results were:— Second division. —Central 5, Huntly United 0. Schoolboy representative game.— Auckland 12, Wellington 0. REPRESENTATIVE SELECTION. The following players have been selected to train at Newtown Park gymnasium on Wednesday night for the match against Auckland next Saturday at the Basin Reserve: —W. Healey, B. Mann, D. Candy, J. Toomer, D. Pike, Hayler, B. Whitburn, E. Hicks, L. Whittaker, R. Bolton, E. Collins, T. Noonan, Palmer, Dawson.
