NUFFIELD CARS
Nuffield (Australia) Pty., Ltd., has decided to launch a £1,000,000 car industry in Sydney, on a site to be chosen. The Federal Government tried to persuade the company *to use closed munitions plant in the country, but high transport costs would have been involved, which, said the management, the company would never be able to overtake. It will be a considerable time before all the car part? are made in Australia. Meanwhile the Commonwealth Government is still considering schemes prepared by other concerns for establishing a motor industry here. ,
