Government House, Wellington, September 1. This afternoon his Excellency the Governor-General, attended by Major H. A. Jaflxay, was present at the Chatham Cup final at the Basin Reserve. His Excellency subsequently presented the cup and medals to the winning team. Her Excellency Lady Newall was present at a post-graduate party given in the nurses' home by the New Zealand Nurses' Christian Union. This evening their Excellencies the Governor-General and Lady Newall were present at the Wellington Competitions Society's final demonstration concert in the Town Hall, during which his Excellency presented the prizes to the successful competitors. Captain the Honourable D. E. A. Winn was in attendance. September 2. Their Excellencies attended Divine Service at St. Anne's Church, Northland, this morning.
