SLIP IN MANAWATU GORGE
PA PALMERSTON N., This Day. The railway through the Manawatu Gorge is blocked by a large slip which occurred yesterday morning. The line was nearly cleared at 5 o'clock yesterday, but lreavy rain then brought down more debris. Passengers are being transported by road between Ashhurt and Woodville.
