FRENCH NAVAL BASES
PARIS, August 31. French naval bases would play an important part in the future of world security, said the Chief of Staff of the French navy, Vice-Admiral Lemonnier, in a broadcast. He added that France was considerably developing the Dakar, Casablanca, and Diego Suarez bases. A full task force was about to sail for the Far East at the time of the Japanese surrender.
