NAZI HOLD ON COMPANY
Rec. 11 a.m. PARIS, August 29. The judicial committee investigating the affairs of the Havas Press agency questioned Pierre Laval for nearly nine hours at Fresnes prison yesterday about Nazi share purchases in Havas' during the occupation of France. Laval said the Germans sought 55 per cent, of the stock and got 47 per cent, in the agency which controlled the bulk of the income of the entire French Press. He initiated negotiations, but the agreement was signed on the initiative of Admiral Darlan in March, 1941.
