SUCCESSFUL YEAR
WELLINGTON REGIMENT
BAND
The annual meeting of the Band of the Ist Battalion The Wellington Regiment (City of Wellington's Own) was held recently, and the report showed that the band had had a very successful year and had fulfilled all engagements required of it. A welcome was extended to bandsmen who had returned home recently from overseas. The treasurer's report showed that the finances of the band were good. The report also expressed thanks to Colonel A. L. George, commanding officer of the regiment; Captain W. F. Sellen, adjutant; Captain R. :'H. Nicholl, band president; Mr. J. I. Goldsmith, band patron; Lieutenant H. Baker, bandmaster; and Mr. B. Keesing, band organ-' iser, for their great interest in the band during the year. The election of officers resulted as follows: —Patron, Mr. *J. I. Goldsmith; president, Captain R. H. Nicholl; bandmaster, Lieutenant H. Baker; secretary, Staff Sergeant W. A. Baker; treasurer, Corporal W. Lidstone; librarian, Cor-! poral H. Inglis; assistant librarian, Musician N. Inglis; committee, Corporal R. Anderson, Lance-Corporal G. j Hewitt, Musicians D. Mara, J. Soanes, i and A. Robinson; organiser, Mr. B. I Keesing; delegates to Wellington Brass Bands' Association. Lieutenant H.j Baker and Mr. B. Keesing.
