MOVEMENT OF TROOPS
LONDON, August 26. Many American troops are being flown home from Europe, and figures issued today show that _ Flying Fortresses have moved more than 32,000 men from the Mediterranean theatre to Casablanca, where transport . planes teke them on to the United States. Fifteen thousand American airmen and troops set out for home today by sea on the Queen Elizabeth. Civilians on board include the Director-General of UNRRA, Mr. Herbert Lehman. ; The Queen Mary is due to dock at Southampton on Thursday. She has
already left New York, and her passengers include Mr. E. R. Stettinius, former American Secretary of State, and now American representative on the preparatory commission of the United Nations' Organisation.
