MUNICIPAL MILK
Sir, —In your issue of August 24 a correspondent, "Weaned," asked the Hutt Valley and Bays Milk Vendors' Association to explain its . opposition to municipal milk to the public, as the milk question has been very much in the news in the Hutt Valley for this last twelve months. The matter will be brought to a head shortly, as our association has been notified by the Director of Milk Marketing that a committee has been set up to examine the organisation of the milk supplies in this district. As all parties concerned with the production, treatment, and distribution; along with the local bodies, will be given the opportunity to submit evidence at the inquiry, which is to take place on September 18, our association feels that no benefit can be gained by any statements or explanation at present.—l am, etc., C. E. BENTLEY, Chairman, Hutt Valley and Bays MillVendors' Association.
