NEW FABRIC DEVELOPED
Rec. 9 a.m
NEW YORK, August 24
The "Herald Tribune" announces the development of a new fabric, made principally from chicken feathers, which is reported to be warmer, softer, and lighter than wool. The fabric looks like wool and is designed for use mainly in suits, dresses, and sweaters. It can be dyed any colour, and possesses more sheen than wool. It is completely odourless, and can be laundered with no more shrinkage than cotton fabrics. The cost is cheaper than wool and more expensive than cotton.
