LONDON CONSULTATIONS

NEW DELHI, Aug. 24
Lord Wavell has departed for London. Reuters correspondent says that political circles here believe the main point for consultation between Lord Wavell and the British Government will be whether a constitutional change should aim at a long-term settlement or the reconstruction of the Central Executive Council pending a final settlement, as was attempted at the recent abortive Simla conference.
