LONDON, August 14. Thousands of General MacArthur's troops are standing by in the Philippines ready to move into Japan at the bidding of the Allied Supreme Commander, and a great fleet under Admiral Nimitz is cruising in Japanese waters. Furthermore, a new great religion and a great religious leader must be born to give succour to the bewildered populace." General Tada exhorted the people not to dream of some weapon superior to a new type of atomic bomb. The broadcasting of musical entertainment programmes by Tokio radio ceased at 7 p.m. (Japanese time) today, and were then limited to news and talks.
