THE office of Warden will fall vacant in May, 1046. It is the intention of the Council of the College to proceed to the appointment of a successor in office of the present Warden as soon as possible after the lapse of the time necessary to allow of the receipt of applications from intending candidates in Australia, the t'nited Kingdom, and the British Dominions as well as from those in the Armed Forces thereof. The College is a Residential College affiliated to the University of Melbourne. Its personnel includes 100 Resident men, 60 Resident women, and about 130 Non-Resident students for, whom informal tuition, supplementing University teaching, is provided by an extensive staff. For the Resident women a separate establishment (known as Janet Clarke Hall) has been set up. The internal management of Janet Clarke Hall is vested in a woman Principal with whom is associated an Advisory Committee. Applicants for the Wardenship must be graduates and must have knowledge and experience of the conditions of undergraduate life in' a residential University College.
