SOLDIER, NOT POLITICIAN
NEW YORK, June 24. General Eisenhower emphatically denied that he had any idea of entering politics. "It is silly to talk about me in politics," he said. "When the War Department turns, me out to grass all I want to be is a plain United States citizen. That is what I am going to be. la ma soldier, not a politician." General Eisenhower was speaking at a Press conference at his home in Abilene, Kansas. A number of newspapers have 'been suggesting General Eisenhower as Secretary of State, and others as next President. General Eisenhower, after a few days at home, is returning to Washington lor a conference with Mr. Stimson, after which he will have a short rest before returning to Germany. ■
