NEW BRITISH PUBLICITY DEPARTMENT
LONDON, June 22
The new Foreign Office publicity department, headed by Mr. Ivone Kirkpatrick, formerly controller of the European news services of the 8.8.C., is taking over the Ministry of Information, with all its overseas services, says the "Daily Telegraph." The Foreign Secretary will in future •he responsible for publicity abroad. The portfolio of Minister of Information will be abolished. The new department will organise overseas publicity in the form of films, books, lecture tours, broadcasts, and exhibitions. There will be much work in the Empire division, arrangements for which are being made in conjunction witt the Colonial and Dominion Offices
