On the walls of the Camera Club at a recent meeting were about 70 prints, from which were to be selected 12 lo form the club's entry for the Bledlsloe Cup. On Monday, at Victoria College, Professor Gordon wili begin a course dealing with language as a human activity rather than as a grammar course, and will In pail use laboratory methods, aided by films and modern sound equipment, to show the development and techniques of this most lniman activity. Pre-sent-day Maoris will be the theme of another class, which Mr. If. C .McQueen will commence at Hie Trades Hall on Tuesday. At Khnndallah on Wednesday, Mr. Sydney Greenbie, who is .special assistant to the I'nited Slates Minister here, will commence a short cnurse on America at work and play.
